Battle report short #009

AVX Avengers teambase at 600 points with Hope Summers, Wolverine, Thor, Black Panther, and Iron Man VS the Beyonder at 600 points: first time I tried using a teambase - pretty straightforward, so no clunkiness (but still unclear about Solo Adventures), amazed at the advantages it can get when your rolls are cooperative (and my goodness that -2 Perplex), but was more impressed with the Beyonder's durability and Swiss Knifeyness with his special copycat trait and his Colossal Stamina allowing him to just keep hitting the teambase every turn (at a cost, albeit negligible), but I bet running the teambase at 400 with some reinforcements from the Round Table and whatnot, the teambase would've won. Quickie, educational fun. I need to use these figs more often.

April 2015 haul: not bad!

Finally found the AOU movie gravfeed Hulk. Thinking about his viability when teamed with AOU starter Hulk for 550 points, then maybe Moira and Pandora's Box to round the team up to 598 points.

Also found two TRINITY WAR gravfeed figs I've been looking for (and even thought would never find), gravfeed Green Arrow and Lex Luthor. I'm thinking of a good 300-point team with Luthor at 100 points and FLASH Harley Quinn at 65 points, a surprise-KO-surprise-boost team.

While Green Arrow, with those values and the two traits ... he's a bit of an asshole. Not quite WATX Fantomex, but surely more than halfway there. A very good fig to lead the initial charge.

Vandal Savage and an army of Blackgate Inmates

Build:
Vandal Savage at full setting and ten Blackgate Inmates for a full 600 points.

Plan:
Inmates mainly for interference and giving Savage extra mobility with their Defense white power granting Sidestep to a friendly fig within 4 squares and line of fire. Savage also has a really good Leadership trait that grants his whole team +1 for all stats for the turn.

Savage will Sidestep then either Charge or base an enemy then Close Combat Attack for at least 3 Damage. He has Prob and Shape Change so he can withstand a potential beating just in case he has to.

For backup, the Inmates can Sidestep each other beside Savage then they can Flurry then later Flurry and BCF Savage's target. Later in the game, Savage can Outwit enemies' defense powers from behind the Inmates then have the Inmates beat them up with Flurry and BCF.
