Clix Acquisitions this 01/16

Living in the armpit of Clix distro, some people with a lot of cash hoard OP kits for him and his buddies, so our access to these things are few and far between at best, so when they're here, me and my buddies go crazy. Here's one of the more recent ones, the Sinister Foes, with their token tactics. Lots of potential with these fellas, especially Doc Ock's two free action Giant Reach Flurries!

This guy was an advanced birthday gift from the aforementioned buddies. Funny how our Clix playing group kindasorta turned into an actual legit earnest friends-friends group who do chummy stuff like this. More power to friends! There should be more people like them.

Batman Family VS Avengers

I lost this game, but I had a lot of fun. Kinda miss running No Tactics builds, and as a gesture of "why not," we built a team using someone else's figs, figs we weren't familiar with at all, and my goodness did it pay off - it was one of the most fun I've had in a Clix game since ever. Happy enough with what we did that I at least personally plan to do it again soon.

Metropolis Reporters VS Combat Values Reducers Galore

M

Been making a lot of really really really low rolls the last month or so of Clixxing, to the point that I feel I need to retire my red Avengers dice and maybe replace it with the blue JLA dice. But to be fair to my opponent, his build was great strategically while my build was mainly a two-tentpole setup with no Perplexers. BUT WHEN YOU MISS A 6 ROLL FOR A 4-DAMAGE PULSE WAVE YOU KNOW SOMETHING'S AMISS. Had to relearn valuable lessons last night, had to be reminded about a lot of things. I need to play more! All that said, I still had fun last night.

Post-Nats, Part Three

Bringing out some of the old figs for some scenario games, and building new ones for some fun play - Animal Man with nine Animal figs on the sideline!

Post-Nats, Part Two

And so a couple of days after Nationals, I come up with this team - Tiamat possessed by Ion with Green Lantern Ring and Battery with either Nurse or Wall constructs = four more powers that I can use with Tiamat boosted +1 on all combat values with a possible +2 on defense depending on how much tokens he has, with the opponents restricted to only one free action each. Quite the mean team. Unfortunately, too little too late.
